what is your opinion on invisalign as to traditional braces?? which works better for someone with a simple spacing problem???
Invisalign...?
They are really good! I weared them 18months and i had absolutely terrible teeth, before i git them. Now they are perfect! They work a much better way then normal braces, and they are cleaner, because you can take them out! The best thing: noone sees them! there was really noone, who realized, that i straighten teeth!
Reply:they do work well. i had them for a total of 10 months and they fixed my teeth very nicely. i had spaces like you but other than that my teeth were pretty good, straight and all. they costed me $5,000 (my insurance paid about half though) but on average they're about $4,000-6,000..depending on how long you need them for and how bad your teeth are to begin with. the only bad thing about them is that you can't eat with them in. but they're good because like no one even knows you have them. BUT Invisalign takes longer to fix your teeth than regular metal braces take. but then again, i guess it depends on your case. my brother had regualr braces and his teeth were fixed to perfection in 1 year, which is just a little longer than i had my Invisalign, BUT his teeth were REALLY jacked up before he got the braces. his teeth were uneven, VERY spaced, and all up in his gums. but since all you have is a spacing problem Invisalign should work just fine for you.
oh, and you have to change your "tray" every 2 weeks, which pretty much means you get a new pair of invisalign every 2 weeks. %26amp; you should definitely go to the ortho or dentist and see what they think about your condition. and be careful because they can tear up your gums until you get used to them.
good luck =)
Reply:HELLO,
FOR SIMPLE SPACING PROBLEMS INVISALIGN IS GREAT, BUT THE COST CAN BE INTIMIDATING. TALK TO YOUR ORTHODONTIST AND SEE IF THE PRICE IS WORTH IT.
Reply:In many cases, the cost may be less than traditional braces. Check general dentists who are experienced with this product. It could save you hundreds of dollars.
