Invisalign Express Question?

Hello everyone. I would appreciate input from anyone that has had the invisalign express procedure done. Yesterday, I went in for a consultation and they gave me a figure of $5500 for the Invisalign Express treatment. Also, my bottom teeth are straight. It's just my top set of teeth that need a little straightening. Therefore, I asked if it was okay that I just do the top set of teeth instead of top and bottom in hopes of getting a cheaper rate. However, they told me that they could not do only the top. For anyone that knows, is it true that you cannot just have the top set of teeth done. That you have to have both top and bottom completed for so called alignment reasons? Also, is $5000 too expensive for the "Express" treatment. I was under the impression that Express would be quite cheaper than the regular treatment. I would appreciate input. Thanks!

The price is about right. As for moving only the top, sorry but it can't be done.





If your teeth are out of alignment on the top needing correcting, the bottoms aren't in alignment either even though they may look straight they will need to be shifted along with the uppers so each fit together, bringing them into perfect alignment simultaneously. They both have to be shifted together or at the same time, in order to correct your bite.





If you are unsure of this orthodontist, have a consult with another one. Find one you trust for your orthodontic treatment. You have to trust him to do the right treatment for your individual case and for the best dental health for you, after all, he is the expert. Good luck! You will love your new smile!
Reply:actually. im surprised it only costs $500 more...tradiotional ones cost about $5000, give or take...and invisalign is only $500 more?! i thought it would be quite abit more...so basically for getting 'braces' no, that is not an out-of-the-norm price


also, if he suggests you get both top and bottom done...get them done because they are the experts


believe me, most of the time you dont see anything wrong with one of your rows of teeth but there are tons of things that you just dont even know about! youll see changes and you begin the procedure and get a few months into it( or maybe even less)


i know that for the regular brace sit is possible to only have top or bottom down...but im not 100% sure about invisalign


and i also dont know is the "express" actually means anything...i honestly think that it would take just as long as the regular invisalign do. (the average time for regular brace son is about 18 months to let you kknow)


but even if you DO end up gttting top and bottom, be happy! you will ghave perfect teeth...and youllactually get to have invialign so you dont have to see and horrible metal!
