Starting Invisalign soon?

I just got impressions made for Invisalign this past week. For those who've had it done, how long till I start this madness? They said it may take 6 weeks. Why so long?





And anyone have any problems with Invisalign? I trust my orthodontist. He's really good and tells me my teeth will look great. But, any horror stories from it?

I just started Invisalign about 2 weeks ago. It took about a month for my trays to come in after my impressions were made. They had to send off the impressions to be studied and have the trays made - a total of 15 trays that will be gradually changed out every two weeks. I'm going to be finished with mine in about 7 months, and my total cost is $4400. I'm happy with them so far though. Sore at first, but only takes a couple of days to feel back to normal. I can't wait to have straight teeth!
Reply:after my impressions and x-rays it took about a month for them to call me back about how long the treatment was going to be then i finally went back oct.30th and from there my dentist told me it would take about two weeks for the trays to come back. i'm really excited, my treatment is supposed to be for eight months which i thought was pretty good, i thought it would longer i paid $3950 for mine
