Invisalign vs. metal braces?

I'm 13. I've never been to the orthodontist in my life, and I have always had a HUGE space between my front teeth, and smaller spaces between almost every other tooth. So it really bothers me about how my teeth look. I have a perfect bite: the spaces are the only things I would want to fix. What are my other options for closing my spaces? Oh and, I don't have any insurance except for maybe Sliding Scale.

Which is quicker: Invisalign or metal braces (etc.)?

Which costs less: Invisalign or metal braces

Which will show better results?

and also, I have an appointment with the orthodontist in 3 weeks.

Invisalign vs. metal braces?
Metal braces are going to cost less, and at 13 they aren't going to stand out as much. If you were 23, then I would suggest invisalign.

Also, go to the orthodontist first. You need to find out if invisalign could even work for you!!

Nothing is going to happen quickly. The best suggestion is to just go with metal braces.

I have to say, you are quite the mature 13 year old!
Reply:Invisalign may not be an option if your teeth are severly spaced and seeking extreme movement.
Reply:You need regular braces. You don't want your mom nagging at you to wear your invisalign. Regular braces work faster as well. Costs are pretty much equal.
Reply:metal braces are quicker and cheaper. the only plus side to invisaline is being invisible. especially since you have a perfect bite, metal is the way to go
Reply:okay, invisalign only works for minor movement. my teeth were too out of whack for them. don't be afraid of the orthodontist. chances are he is a really nice guy. metal braces are not as bad as they seem, many people get them. i don't know about cost though.
Reply:I just had an orthodontists appointment last week.

Every case is different for invisilign, if you only have to correct the space between your teeth and nothing else is misaligned then it might only take 12 weeks (if your teeth are perfectly straight). They might tell you not to get invisilign because you're 13 and your mouth is still growing. Metal braces might be more what they'll suggest. The metal is cheaper, depends on how much time you'll need invisilign, they charge by length of time. Starts at 2,000 and goes upward.

The results will be the same.
Reply:metal braces
Reply:I would recommend metal braces for you, invisalign are more focused on adults because they want to keep it clear and not showing becuz its kinda embarrassing for adults to wear metal braces.

What is quicker? Invisalign probably for sure.

Invis~ cost 1.5 - 9 grand but insurance may cover 1.5-2 grand

Metal braces - typical cost is 3-7 grand

Im pretty sure metal braces show better results simply because they are permanent, the invis~ you need to take off and on when eating and all, then cleaning them, this doesnt keep the teeth together.

I had metal braces for about a year and fixed my teeth good, it didnt hurt to "install" but took a while and they hurt at first when you wear them fora bout a week, also hurt when you get fixes and when they make it stronger, etc.

invisalign is for minor movement and may not be an option if ur teeth are really messed up, you gotta talk with them first
