Can Invisalign cause gum recession?

I want to get Invisalign to correct minor crookedness due to not wearing my retainer after braces.

However, I believe I have a problem with gum recession. I saw my periodontist 2 months ago and he said I do not have gingivitis but I feel like my gums are gradually receding... both at the top and especially in between the teeth.

Will Invisalign promote recession in my seemingly sensitive gums? Thanks in advance.
