Invisalign?

hi im 13 and can i get invisalign at my age?

does it look good? or is it obvious u have a shiny surface of plastic on your teeth

and also im in tokyo and what dentists give invisalign in tokyo%26gt;?

Invisalign?
I'm not sure Invisalign is even an option for you. They usually use it on adults. For one thing, it does take commitment. You need to wear them all the time. Orthodontists figure adults who are paying for this are more likely to wear the aligners all the time than kids. There is some discomfort when you change aligners and they figure maybe you'll take them out if they're uncomfortable.

The other reason why they prefer adults is that your jaw and teeth are done growing. I'm an adult and on Invisalign now. It is nice because it's hard to notice you've got them in. But, since you're only 13 and you're not done growing, they tend to want to use the metal braces. It allows them to shape your smile better and make corrections easier. Invisalign is really only working to shift those teeth. Braces can correct bite problems too which is what orthos may want to do at your age.
Reply:get braces. they hurt atfirst and no one wants them but htey work the best. invisalign does leave a shiny surface of plastic on your teeth so go with clear braces. i dont want htem eather but think about it, your teeth will be straight. atleast you dont need them 4 three years like me and im getting the silver ones cuz the elastics come in cool colors but clear looks like u got food stuck 2 ur teeth kinda....
Reply:Invisalign is GREAT and most people won't even know your wearing them unless you tell them,,and the age depends on your Doctor,,,13 is young and Invisalign take a lot of commitment%26lt;%26lt;you wear them all day and night ,,only to take them out to eat and brush, ( 20-22 hour per day ),so if you are willing to stay comminted to doing this, Like I said,,,THEY ARE WONDERFUL,,,much better than the wires

I dont know about Tokyo and who will do them there,,,lok on line,,go under invisalign .com and look for a orthodondic doctor who will do them%26lt;%26lt;%26lt;Good Luck
Reply:Even tho im much older than you, but i would not recommend invisalign. I have braces now and did tons of research about braces and invisalign. From what ive been told by people and ortho's, they only work with very small problems with teeth. It does not work at all almost for moving teeth and gaps. I know they sound good, but if you are gonna bother with wearing something on ur teeth, might as well get braces that work 100%. u could always do clear like me..
