Invisalign?

If you have had this instead of braces, what do you think of them? Did it take long for your teeth to straighten? Are they comfortable? Can you see them? Do you know if they are more expensive than regular braces? I am thinking about getting them and I want some feedback from people that have had them or know information about them.

ok ok they are not bad at all they are pricey than reg braces but totally worth it, when you first get them on i agree they do feel horrible my whole mouth was sore. Its normal bc your teeth are moving and take a few days for it to feel normal but within a week or so you are normal to eat and do whatever! And no you cannot tell you have them on maybe some friends whom see you everyday will notice the first day bc they make you talk weird and make you move your mouth weird but you get used to it but a stranger will not notice unless they are in your mouth looking. But its worth it i have them i'm on my 8th tray and they feel great! Go for it! And the weight loss thing nah is not true yea you have to brush your teeth and floss after any little thing you eat which is a hassle but i have not lost weight w them i just brush after every meal and floss also note use denture cleaner to clean them works like a charm.
Reply:Invisaligns are not right for all kinds of braces situations. Unless your orthodontist has already told you that invisaligns would work for your orthodontic problems don't get your hopes up too much. The first thing you should do is discuss this with your orthodontist as he can tell you if it is appropriate for your problem and how it would work and feel and what the cost is. Call your orthodontist and set up an appointment to discuss this with him/her
Reply:today's my first day. i hate them. it feels like death when i take them out. DEATH. and they're not that invisible. it depends how far you stand away from a person. but when i first walked up to my friend after getting them, i was like 5 feet away and she was like "what's in your teeth!?". and i asked anotehr friend and she was like "i can hella tell" they wouldn't be THAT bad if it wasn't for the things they put on your teeth to keep the aligners in place. they are SO obvious. and i talk with a lisp. but this is only my first day. i heard it gets better. and i suppose it'll be worth it in the end. and people say you loose weight cause you can't eat with them in.
Reply:I've had both. The Metal worked better the first time. With the invisaline I take them off and forget to put them back in, it stalls the progress. But you need to weigh the pro and con-s of both. The meatal braces damaged my teeth, I coulnd't brush properly or floss as well as I should have and When I had them off I had t get 8 fillings...they cost about the same and you can see them if point them out, its just a thin film over your teeth.Go with the Invisaline....people won't call you "BRACE FACE"...lol good luck
