Invisalign Help ??

I am 15 and i am thinking about geting invisalign. My bottom teeth are crowed in the front . And there is some crowding on my top teeth . But other than that everything is good. Based on this information do you think i could be a canidate for Invisalign? The cost really isnt a problem because my parents know how much it would mean to me to have Invisalign instead of a mouth full of metal for 2 years .Any comment would be great and if you have had any experence , please let me know. Thanks A Million =]

Invisalign Help ??
You would probably be told to wait until all of your permanent dentition is fully erupted, this means your third molars (wisdom teeth), too. There is no guarantee that you'd be wearing braces for a full two years, either. Everyone's mouth is different, like fingerprints, so your teeth may move faster (possibly slower) than someone else's.

You should set up a consultation appoinment with a local orthodontist. Some offices offer this for free, or if you decide to follow through with treatment, they'll refund/ive a discount later on.

If you decide to go with traditional braces; there are certain tools of the trade that allow for faster movement of your teeth, i.e. power chains. You may have a little more soreness in your mouth, but it's a small sacrifice to make when you consider the final result!

Good luck!
Reply:You dont have to wait for your wisdom teeth to come in. there are certain parameters you have to meet and your dentist will have to take a look. ie: 4-6mm spacing or crowding at most, 1st molar erupted, perio problems are minimal, etc...

i know in my office we have free invisalign consultations where we look at the pt's alignment and take upper/lower impressions to send to invisalign. all for free...and invisalign will send back a clincheck to see if you qualify for a comprehensive case or an express case...
