Do the Invisalign Express braces work?!?

I went to an Orthodontist and asked her about Invisalign, she said that i would be using them just for my upper teeth and that i "MIGHT" qualify for the xpress treatement, but the only way to know was by me paying $300 for the impressions and sending them to Invisalign....where they can determine if my case is "express" or not....(NOTE HERE... there is a $2500 difference between the xpress n regular invisalign)

It seemed like a scam to me...like, for double the money, why not say it s not, right?

Please tell me if you were an express case! i m seriously considering them, but i want to make a smart decision since i have to pay 100% w/o insurance coverage

Do the Invisalign Express braces work?!?
having worked with dentist for over 10 years, here is my personal take on invisiline. If your teeth need very minimal correcting you will be fine. However if you dont allow adequate time in braces the teeth can and may shift. Conventional braces may not be the most appealing however overall long term results from cases I have personally seen, they seem to have the best results.
Reply:If your case qualifies for Invisalign, it will work beautifully. Unlike what some people say, Invisalign can work for more than just minor adjustments.

Currently, the Invisalign corporation does not charge a dentist to submit a case as Express. Here's what I'd do:

1. Ask your dentist if he/she will subtract the $300 from the case fee if you accept treatment. If not..

2. Go find a general dentist who will do the case submission for free. Find a general dentist who has been doing Invisalign for a few years, or one who does more than 25 or 30 cases per year.

For the record, it costs the dental office to take those records. Impression material and x-rays are expensive and the dentist deserves to get paid. However, $300 is a bit high.
