Invisalign?

So i'm thinking about asking my parents to let met do the invisalign thing.

My teeth arent crooked at all, i just have an over bite

What do i need to know about them and stuff

Invisalign?
Ask your orthodontist--not all teeth can be corrected using invisalign. Plus it's expensive and if you're in high school or college, don't bother. Regular metal braces are going to do you just fine. AND just because your teeth don't look crooked doesn't mean that your bite is off.
Reply:http://www.kidshealth.com/ type in braces, or just look up ibraces.:)
Reply:first get referred by your regular dentist to a specialist, this is to see if your a candidate. Basically anything you eat you remove them. They are little plastic molds that slip in your mouth.
Reply:HAHAHAHA Invisilign

That is a cool thing you should get it if your parents have the money$$ what it does is let have a invisible braces thing I have to get braces, I have an over bite too but my parents dont want to pay for the invisiline. But it just makes an invisible braces with less pain.

but also if you have an over bite, get metal because it cheaper and faster (more painfull)
Reply:they are expensive....do your shopping around before you present them the idea that way you can say, look this guy is the cheapest in town.

... also there's a credit company for cosmetic procedures called Care Credit...and if your parents open an account with them, they can get a year of interest free financing for it....and they will give you a list of orthos in your area that accept it. ...if they turn out too expensive, there is also plastic, almost invisible traditional braces....they are noticeable but at least you wont have a mouth full of metal ! Good Luck!
Reply:Unfortunately Invisalign is very limited to minimal overbites. To substantially reduce an overbite you'd need braces or with an experienced doctor he will still need to attach a few braces for elastics to correct the overbite in conjunction with Invisalign.

The only drawback is price. Between $4500-$7500 conservatively. I've seen Invisalign [extreme] cases go for $8500. Compare with braces $3500 - $5500. Treatment times on simple case (no overbite correction just a few slightly crooked teeth) with Invisalign is usually short, about 6-9 months.
