Invisalign?

has anybody had it. does it work good . goes it really stightin your teeth good? does it cost more then braces

Invisalign?
Invisalign is a great way for certain patients to straighten their teeth. The process involves wearing a series of custom trays over a period of time. Each tray will move the teeth a little at a time, and ideally in the end, all teeth will be straight and centered.

The catch is that Invisalign is not for everyone. Depending on your specific needs, you may not be a good candidate. If your bite requires significant correction and realignment, traditional braces are most likely to be your best option. Of course your dentist/orthodontist will have to evaluate this for themselves. The cost is pretty similar for Invisalign and traditional braces. Depending on your geographic location and the complexity of your case, the cost will range between $2500 and $4000 for either option.

The reason why Invisalign is so popular is that you do not have the metal brackets and wires to deal with on a daily basis for 1 to 3 years. The trays are removable and clear with Invisalign. As always, there are advantages and disadvantages of both. You can ask your dentist about your mouth and what will work best for your financial and personal needs. Good luck!
Reply:ok well i just got metal braces today...looking at pictures from invisilign they dont look to impressive.. if they did i would choose them over metal braces. but the metal braces seem to do the job for everyone so if i were you i would do metal braces. Umm i dont kno wanyone who has... and it works just not as good at metal braces. and it is more expensive. im pretty sure. hope i helped a bit! later
Reply:Invisalign is usually not recommended for people who need a lot of work on their teeth as far as orthodontics. It is definately more expensive and your dentist/orthodontist will decide if they are appropriate in your case. If you worry about the look of having braces, you can get white brackets (which are slightly more expensive) but less noticeable.
