Invisalign help ?

im gettin braces in less than a week. and i really want to get invisalign but my parents heard that it doesnt work well so they wont let me get them. i wouldnt be worried or anything but my sweet 16 is next year and i dont want to have braces on whats supposed to be one of the best nights of my life. so if you had/have or know someone who has invisalign can you sorta "fill me in" on how it works and whether or not it works so i can convince my parents? thanks

i had the same problem with my parents. the truth is they really do work. i got them when i was 15 and i had them for about a yr and you can already tell the difference. i wasnt exactly qualifiyed for invisalign but it works anyway. the only thing is that it hurts a lot. and the fact that you can snap them on. most people i know took them off when they started to hurt and they ended up with not straight teeth but thats because when they start to hurt it means ur teeth are straightening. if you take them off than you are just not letting the braces to the work. so that will obviously cause no results. if you think you are strong enough to deal with the pain then go ahead and show your parents this and talk to them about it. good luck
Reply:I dont know but my aunt has them adn they seem to be working fine. tell your parents to research it or maybe you casn research it yourself . I think that maybe you could ask your dentist about it
