Is it bad that I dont wear my aligners all the time, typically.- I dont wear them for 8-9 hours a day...
I am on my second set, and it seems to fit perfectly; i dont have any problems; so Im just wondering if its wrong even though I feel as I am achieving the right results?
Invisalign..??
I'm almost done with 7 months of invislign... some trays have been easy transitions, others are a MOTHEReffer for a day or two. sounds like you lucked out and are on an "easy tweak" cycle.
but.
do try to wear them as much as possible.
the next "tweak' may be a ball-buster and putting them back in after a few hours with them out will just SUCK.
and not wearing them as you should may necessitate that you'll be in them WAY longer
(I was supposed to be done a few months ago but I was taking them out in my sleep and would wake up with them under my pillow but didnt remember doing it... not sleeping in them REALLY set me back. and it costs extra money if you break one! they're much safer IN your mouth)
also: efferdent with the antibacterial suds works WONDERS so if you notice your trays are getting funky even with brushing and such, give those a try. 15 minutes and they're funkfree, hooray!
Reply:watch out.. those toothys can move pretty quickly.. keep them on at all time.. what i did with mine was have 2 sets and swap them around.. u can waste so much time if ur teeth go backwards..
Reply:I think you're going to be screwed later. Just my opinion. There's a reason that they tell you to wear them all the time other than to eat and brush. You're slowly, millimeter by millimeter, moving your teeth. You need to give them time to adjust and the more you wear them, the less likely they are to go back to how they used to be. You just don't want to have troubles down the line on your 8th aligner when it doesn't fit at all and you need to get it replaced.
Plus, if there were a system that just allowed you to wear something for half the day, don't you think everyone would want that and braces would be a thing of the past?
