Invisalign?

I'm thinking about getting invisalign vs normal braces. But I noticed that most of the people who get invisalign are older, because i'm not even in high school yet, will it still work? Can I get invisalign? Because I know if I get braces now they'll be in my mouth for years! I want something a bit quicker! I really don't want to be a senior with braces :( help?

Reply:I currently have invisalign and I am very happy. There are a few downsides. I had an overbite and I had to get teeth pulled so I have about 42 aligners for the top and only 13 for the bottom. I have awhile to go until my last aligner. Since you are still young I would honestly recommend regular braces...the aligners are easy to lose and you have to brush your teeth A LOT! Taking the aligners in and out for meals is also a pain. In some cases invisalign can be quicker but not always. I would recommend going to a free consultation at your closest invisalign provider. Reply:well im 19, however i feel the same way so i'm getting invisalign soon, my orhtodontist said my upper teeth are smooshed together which could cause a lot of pain in my upper jaw if it's not fixed. so i have to get Dynaflex first which is this really weird contraption that has an automatic spring that will widen my mouth every so often, i wear this for about 4-8 months followed by invisalign for a total of 2 years.
