Does anyone know how much the treatment with invisalign cost . If you have used it plz let me know your experienced and the cost thanks.
Invisalign?
I got a price for Invisalign. It was $3500 for upper and lower teeth. I think price can range anywhere from $2000-$6000, depending on where you live, how much work you need, how many trays they need to make, and how long you'll have it for. I mean, if you got a minor issue you want corrected just on your top teeth, it'll be on the cheaper end. The thing with Invisalign, and this may be common sense, but if maybe you got a gap in your teeth, Invisalign is going to fix that gap but also because you got to wear these trays, they'll also take care of and straigten the rest of your teeth too. It's kinda all or nothing with it.
I'm probably starting it in November of this year. We'll see how it goes...
Reply:HI there, I did some research on it because I really want it on my top teeth, and I think they are about $6000 and insurance won't pay for them because they are more cosmetic. At least that is what my mom said because she looked into it as well and decided to get regular braces (at her 50+ years of age). I do have to say I hardly noticed my mom's braces at all when she came to visit me the first time she got them in. She got some clear ones. Good luck with your decision and with your braces!!
Reply:It is very hard to give a blanket price for invisalign - as with any dental treatment because so much depends on your indif=vidual circumstances. However, a rough estimate for a full case that would take about a year to complete would be between $5,000-$6,000. If you only need minor movement they can do what is called an Express Case for around $2,500 or so. If you go to www.invisalign.com you can locate a dentist that specializes in invisalign in your area.
If your insurance covers regular braces they should cover invisalign there isn't anything cosmetic about it - orthodontics is moving teeth and invisaligh moves teeth permanently.
Oh yes, once treatment is finished you have to have a retainer just like regular ortho.
I did it and don't regret the decision at all. It was a little disconcerting in the beginning when some of my teeth had to be shaved to make them narrower and I didn't think the spaces would ever close up but they did and the end result has been great. You do have to be a fanatic about wearing the trays and only take them out to eat and brush.
