Should I get invisalign or metal braces?

I went to the orthodontics and found out the cost and how long it'll ROUGHLY take:





invisalign- $159.50 for 20 months + $1800 down payment





metal braces- $135 for 20 months + $700 down payment





they wil take about the same amount of time except i don't know which one i want. I am more interested in invisalign since, well its invisible but which one has a bigger/longer effect? or are they the same?





which one would you get? im 15 years old

I had metal braces and didn't use my retainers and my teeth have slightly moved. i talked normal though...i had a friend with invisalign and she talked kind of funny lol. but her teeth came out straight but still not as straight as mine. im not sure if they use retainers.
Reply:I say go with metal because do you see that down payment? I heard invisalign doesnt work well with crowding (if you have it.) Your parents will probably like to pay 700 compared to 1800. Metals are obviously cheaper, i say go with metal (and you get to pick fun colors! yeah!) Have fun! When do you get it?
