Invisalign is it good...?

Ok hi i am 12 and want to get invisalign first i wondered if it works? Some people say yes somepeople no i don't know. Next i hear that it hurts and it hurts your tongue. I will go to a orthonodist but i want some answeres before i go, if you know just estimate how much it will cost? dont say ask your orthodonist i will i just want a quiick estimate thanks. Does it work? Will it hurt? How much?

I would reconsider invisalign and go with regular braces. You have to be very committed to wearing these trays they make you. Shifting your teeth is not comfortable and yes some people will say it hurts. It all depends on your pain tolerence. If you stop wearing them because your teeth start to ache they will not help you. I had regular braces and my teeth ached all the time. I know if I could have taken them off, I would have to stop the pain. With invisalign you CAN take them off to stop the pain, but that doesn't help your teeth. I would say with someone your age just go with regular braces. Half the kids your age or more have them so it's no big deal to be seen with braces. It's very common.
Reply:I'm not sure about invisalign but I'd guess it would have to do with what kind of bite you had,to know if it would work or not. Like over bite, under bite, or things like that. Pain I would imagine it would hurt cuz when something is forcing your teeth to moving it hurts. It would probably be less painfull then braces though, they cut your mouth up pretty bad.
Reply:Shut all the myth about Invisalign...Its just a guiding the teeth to acquire a new position...Just made of clear acrylic material so definitely it doesn't hurt probably u might need to change frequently which is part of the treatment....so go ahead for Invisalign
Reply:One of my friends uses invisalign and it works well. One down side to this is that you have to wear them when you eat and food gets stuck in them and you have to brush after every meal. Even if you dont eat things get stuck in there and its very unattractive.
Reply:Invisalign is a whole lot better than the metal braces, you dont have to worry bout so much wires in tour mouth.
