Invisalign time of precedure and cost?

Ok, so I know this question can only really be answered with a specific dentist who has seen me in person...but I'm looking for people who have had the same thing done to tell me their experience. I have very minor straightening to be done, there is no crowding, my bottom teether are perfect. My top front 6 teeth are slightly out of alignment, they bent out a bit, making small gaps. Really you cant tell they are not straight except from the profile view and the line the tip of the teeth make where they meet your bottom teeth, and only this from certain angles. How short can the entire procedure possibly be? I can't see needing more than a few sets of the retainers adjusted...considering this the cost can't be the same as braces for the whole mouth and taking 2 years....there's just not that much moving of the teeth to be done. Has anyone else had the same issue and gotten invisalign for cosmetic reasons and minor work....how much was it for you and how long did it take?

You are right that only a dentist who examines you and is experienced with teeth movement can give you an approximate time of treatment.

Here is the thing you must remember with Invisalign - they have two fees they charge the dentist, Full Case and Express Case. Less than ten aligners is Express and the fee is the same if it involves nine or three. The dentist can't afford to discount the treatment if you finish sooner.

If your teeth are not that much out of alignment, there may be other alternatives to get the look you want. I would personally go to a well-qualified general dentist who is thinking of many different ways to achieve the result. Orthodontists usually focus ONLY on movement.
