Invisalign worth it?

i'm looking forward to getting my invisalign , but is it worth it are they better they than regular braces? i have a week before i get them so i was just wordering

I don't think they're any better or worse. It's basically the same principle as regular braces except instead of all that metal, you're using those trays to move your teeth millimeter by millimeter.





I think some orthodontists are hesitant because it's more on the patient than metal braces. With the trays, you can remove them. I think they worry you'll have them out too long. It's more out of their hands than the normal braces and from what I know of doctors/dentists-- they like control.





I think all those orthodontists who say it sucks are a bit nervous of it taking over for metal braces which'll hurt their business. They'll be paying Invisalign instead.





I'm starting Invisalign in a month. Had my impressions made this past week. My ortho is really good-- my own dentist sees him so he must be good.





And my cost wasn't any worse than normal braces.





How long is your course of treatment? Let me know how it all goes. It'll be nice to know someone else who's going through it.
Reply:no it will cost more, take longer, and not work as effectively!
Reply:Yes they are worth they can work very well if you wear them when your supposed to and you have the bounus of being able to take them out and eat what every you want!!!!


Unlike braces....a lot of good food becomes a no no!
Reply:Invisalign is the worst waste of money. I asked my orthodontist about it, and he says it is overpriced and not helpful. My orthodontist is also very qualified to make that judgment.
