Invisalign question?

I am a college student considering invisalign. If i were to get it from my orthodontist, would i have to come back home from college every 2 weeks in order to change alligners?

Invisalign question?
Not every 2 weeks because you get 3 in one set so that is a month and half between visits. Why not find an ortho close by your college since you'll be there most of the year? Good luck.
Reply:We offer invislign at my office and yes u will have to come see your doctor about every six weeks or so.

The reason why is because sometimes your dentist will need to make adjustments on your teeth during your treatment and make sure your teeth are coming along stright as planned.

It starts by taking about a dozen impressions on the first visit and send them off to the invislign lab. About 1 month later about 15-18 custom made trays for your mouth come back along with instructions on what the dentist needs to do in order to get your teeth stright. Thats why any dentist can do invislign, not just an orthodontist.
Reply:It really depends on the procedure of that office. Some practices will just give you all your aligners (not recommended!), others will have you come in every two weeks, others once a month, others once a quarter.

I just graduated from college and have been looking into Invisalign as well. I am sure you could find a qualified provider closer to your school though, especially if you are starting in the fall.

Good luck, and call around!
