Invisalign Retainers?...?

Hi you guys again,

I just got my braces off like last week and I have to wear an Invisalign retainer now; it's a little sore when I put it on but what scares me most is having to take the top part of my retainer off. When I have to because it REALLY is painful and it's so tight it feels like I wanna give up on trying to take it off! Will it get better though, how long does it take for a retainer to loosen? I can't even take off my upper retainer so I always have to get my mom to do it; I'm worry it could maybe break or chip my teeth if I try too hard or something T.T Please help!

Invisalign Retainers?...?
I haven't heard of Invisalign retainers being used for retention after conventional braces, though I see no reason why they wouldn't work well.

I don't do Invisalign in my practice but my brother treated me with Invisalign. Generally the soreness of the aligners lasted just a day or two. The retainers are similar but made of heavier guage plastic so it's a bit less forgiving; still, it should be possible to get it on and off. If after a week you still have problems getting it in and out, have your dentist look at it. Sometimes it's just a matter of getting the right handling points to wiggle it off. In any case, it should be possible to get it on and off without damaging either it or your teeth.

On that website there is an Aligner removal tool, It works for tray type retainers.

It will get easier (from what I've heard).
