hello! ok well i wanted to know how much will invisalign cost me, how much are they! and do u think they are better then regular metal braces!? which ones cheaper? and which ones better?
INVISALIGN braces?
Invisalign is great! I only have 6 weeks left. I had regular braces when I was younger, and Invisalign is SO much better. I didn't have ulcers and cuts in my mouth, which I did have with regular braces. The cost between the two options differs based upon length of treatment and how much repositioning will need to be done. The difference for me was only $100.00. That was the best $100.00 I ever spent.
Reply:the cost really depends on the shape your teeth are and if youve got good/bad insurance...regular do hurt bad tho
Reply:It's impossible for anyone to tell you on here without seeing your teeth. The worse your teeth are, the longer it'll take. I'm doing Invisalign now and my treatment time is 7 months. First, make sure you're eligible for it. If you've got really big gaps in your teeth, the metal braces will probably work better. Invisalign works well if you've got some crowding of your teeth which is what I have. They really tend to use it for adults only because you have to wear the aligners all the time and they worry you'll take them out if you're a kid.
The cost of mine is $3500. That's top and bottom teeth. From what I've read, that's on the low side of Invisalign. I've seen it go up to $6000. The good things about Invisalign are it takes a lot less time than metal braces, it's a lot less painful(your teeth are sore the first day you change aligners but then quickly adjust), and less noticeable. The downside is the price. It's usually more expensive.
As for what works better, I'll tell you when I finish treatment. It's the same principle as braces. You're slowly moving your teeth into the right place to make them straight. With regular braces, you're using metal, wires, and rubber bands. With Invisalign, you're basically using a retainer that moves your teeth into the correct position. Invisalign is just much quicker. It's like braces on steroids.
Reply:They cost more than metal braces, they hurt WAY more than metal braces, and they are less effective than metal braces.
